In July 2021 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Contemporary Curated Milan, which included the work Libro cancellato by Emilio Isgrò. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 15,120.00 51% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Emilio Isgrò have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Telex G 6 in May 2016 with an auction result of EUR 71,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Contemporary Curated Milan durch, in der auch die Arbeit Libro cancellato von Emilio Isgrò zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 15.120,00 und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emilio Isgrò auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Telex G 6 im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 71.250,00.
