Despite a disappointment, a good price for Emila Medková
When the work Figure, 1959 by Emila Medková was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2004, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,800.00 – 2,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,673.00 (€ 847.09). Despite this disappointing result, Figure, 1959 is the most expensive artwork by Emila Medková that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit Figure, 1959 von Emila Medková im April 2004 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
