Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Untitled (Two Works) by Emi Kuraya was worth HKD 100,800.00 (€ 11,603.86) to a buyer in March last year. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art | Hong Kong at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emi Kuraya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yokosuka Seaside in May this year with an auction result of HKD 1,764,000.00 (€ 211,434.95).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Untitled (Two Works) von Emi Kuraya war einem Käufer im März letzten Jahres HKD 100.800,00 (€ 11.603,86) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emi Kuraya erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yokosuka Seaside im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.764.000,00 (€ 211.434,95).
