Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2003 Christies in Sydney held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Tidal by Elwyn Augustus Lynn. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 7,050.00 (€ 4,164.80). Other works by Elwyn Augustus Lynn have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of AUD 12,925.00 (€ 7,503.33) in August 2001 for the work Thirty-Five.

Im August 2003 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tidal von Elwyn Augustus Lynn zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 7.050,00 (€ 4.164,80) einen neuen Besitzer.
