This artwork by Elwyn Augustus Lynn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Sydney in May 2004. In the THE JOHN SCHAEFFER COLLECTION AT RONA auction, the work Mocca sold for AUD 1,553.50 (€ 907.66) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 700.00. Admittedly, works by Elwyn Augustus Lynn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Thirty-Five in August 2001 with an auction result of AUD 12,925.00 (€ 7,503.33).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Elwyn Augustus Lynn erzielte im Mai 2004 bei Christies in Sydney einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion THE JOHN SCHAEFFER COLLECTION AT RONA wurde die Arbeit Mocca für AUD 1.553,50 (€ 907,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elwyn Augustus Lynn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Thirty-Five im August 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 12.925,00 (€ 7.503,33).
