A top price for Elwyn Augustus Lynn - as previously expected
In August 2001 Christies in Sydney held the auction AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS, which included the work Thirty-Five by Elwyn Augustus Lynn. The price achieved of AUD 12,925.00 (€ 7,503.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Thirty-Five is the most expensive artwork by Elwyn Augustus Lynn that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im August 2001 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Thirty-Five von Elwyn Augustus Lynn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 12.925,00 (€ 7.503,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Thirty-Five das teuerste Kunstwerk von Elwyn Augustus Lynn, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
