Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Símbolo astral by Elsa Gramcko was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,820.00 (€ 7,635.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elsa Gramcko achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work No. 10 in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 113,698.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Símbolo astral von Elsa Gramcko wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.820,00 (€ 7.635,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elsa Gramcko erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit No. 10 im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 113.698,38).
