In the Living with Art auction, the work Girls, Ocean, Mirror sold for USD 100,000.00 (€ 94,768.76) - well above the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Elmer Nelson Bischoff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Cliffs in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 564,800.00 (€ 440,115.33).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Elmer Nelson Bischoff erzielte im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Living with Art wurde die Arbeit Girls, Ocean, Mirror für USD 100.000,00 (€ 94.768,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elmer Nelson Bischoff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Cliffs im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 564.800,00 (€ 440.115,33).
