The work Winter Camp, 1927 by William Elling Gollings was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,864.00 (€ 4,459.11), 62% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Elling Gollings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Buying Buckskins in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 220,000.00 (€ 193,338.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 62 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Winter Camp, 1927 von William Elling Gollings wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.864,00 (€ 4.459,11) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Elling Gollings erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Buying Buckskins im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 220.000,00 (€ 193.338,61).
