Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Sentinels, c. 1930 by William Elling Gollings was worth USD 9,600.00 (€ 8,800.88) to a buyer in November this year. This price was achieved in the auction Western Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Elling Gollings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Buying Buckskins in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 220,000.00 (€ 193,338.61).

Die Arbeit Sentinels, c. 1930 von William Elling Gollings war einem Käufer im November diesen Jahres USD 9.600,00 (€ 8.800,88) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Elling Gollings erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Buying Buckskins im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 220.000,00 (€ 193.338,61).
