Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work On Herd, 1927 by William Elling Gollings for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,760.18). This price was achieved in the auction Western Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Elling Gollings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Buying Buckskins in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 220,000.00 (€ 193,338.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit On Herd, 1927 von William Elling Gollings für USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.760,18) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Elling Gollings erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Buying Buckskins im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 220.000,00 (€ 193.338,61).
