Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Warrior, 1927 by William Elling Gollings was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,048.00 (€ 1,877.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Elling Gollings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Buying Buckskins in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 220,000.00 (€ 193,338.61).
