This artwork by William Elling Gollings achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. In the Western Art auction, the work A Tie Down Man, 1927 sold for USD 4,480.00 (€ 4,107.08) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Elling Gollings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Buying Buckskins in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 220,000.00 (€ 193,338.61).
