Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ellen von Unwerth achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in May this year. In the Photographs auction, the work Your Turn, Rihanna sold for GBP 20,320.00 (€ 23,642.46) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ellen von Unwerth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Parasol, which sold at auction in May 2016 for GBP 50,000.00 (€ 65,244.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ellen von Unwerth erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Your Turn, Rihanna für GBP 20.320,00 (€ 23.642,46) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ellen von Unwerth mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Parasol beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für GBP 50.000,00 (€ 65.244,72) versteigert wurde.
