Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Princess Elizabeth And Her Father by Elizabeth Peyton. The price achieved of USD 53,125.00 (€ 39,841.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elizabeth Peyton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Liam + Noel in the 70’s in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 2,070,000.00 (€ 1,833,968.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Princess Elizabeth And Her Father von Elizabeth Peyton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 53.125,00 (€ 39.841,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elizabeth Peyton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Liam + Noel in the 70’s im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.070.000,00 (€ 1.833.968,28).
