Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blue / Birds by Elizabeth Magill was sold in the Selected Works from the Neuberger Berman and Lehman Brothers Corporate Art Collections auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2010. It changed hands for a price of USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,542.90) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elizabeth Magill - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Heartland, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 55,950.01).

Die Arbeit Blue / Birds von Elizabeth Magill wurde im September 2010 in der Auktion Selected Works from the Neuberger Berman and Lehman Brothers Corporate Art Collections bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 16.542,90) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Elizabeth Magill mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Heartland beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 55.950,01) versteigert wurde.
