Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cadaqués (The village of Cadaqués) by Eliseo Meifrén was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2007. The price achieved of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 178,073.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eliseo Meifrén - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Regatas en el puerto de Barcelona, which sold at auction in October 2005 for EUR 437,600.00.
