Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Pontevedra (Evening Light, Pontevedra) by Eliseo Meifrén was sold in the 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision auction at Sothebys in London in November 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 54,500.00 (€ 76,314.10). Admittedly, works by Eliseo Meifrén have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Regatas en el puerto de Barcelona in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 437,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pontevedra (Evening Light, Pontevedra) von Eliseo Meifrén wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 54.500,00 (€ 76.314,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eliseo Meifrén auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Regatas en el puerto de Barcelona im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 437.600,00.
