The result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,468.29) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eliseo Meifrén achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Regatas en el puerto de Barcelona in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 437,600.00.

Die Arbeit Spanish Mallorca von Eliseo Meifrén wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.468,29) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eliseo Meifrén erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Regatas en el puerto de Barcelona im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 437.600,00.
