Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Paisaje De Mallorca (A View Of Majorca) by Eliseo Meifrén was sold in the 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision auction at Sothebys in London in November 2007. The price achieved of GBP 13,700.00 (€ 19,183.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eliseo Meifrén achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Regatas en el puerto de Barcelona in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 437,600.00.
