Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Roses by Eliot Hodgkin was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in July 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,289.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eliot Hodgkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Violets II in September 2000 with an auction result of GBP 51,700.00 (€ 86,509.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Roses von Eliot Hodgkin wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.289,44) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eliot Hodgkin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Violets II im September 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 51.700,00 (€ 86.509,89).
