Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Night Car (Dweeby Dimlight opens its mouth) by Eliot Greenwald. The price achieved of HKD 51,200.00 (€ 6,136.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eliot Greenwald have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Night Car (Tall Tree) in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 54,747.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Night Car (Dweeby Dimlight opens its mouth) von Eliot Greenwald zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 51.200,00 (€ 6.136,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eliot Greenwald auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Night Car (Tall Tree) im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 54.747,47).
