Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Eliot Greenwald could be acquired at Phillips in Hong Kong in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now & Design auction, the work Night Car (begins to vanish) changed hands for HKD 50,800.00 (€ 5,961.13) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eliot Greenwald have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Night Car (Tall Tree) in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 54,747.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eliot Greenwald konnte im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now & Design wechselte die Arbeit Night Car (begins to vanish) für HKD 50.800,00 (€ 5.961,13) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eliot Greenwald auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Night Car (Tall Tree) im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 54.747,47).
