Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Near Perugia by Elihu Vedder was sold in the Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in November 2007. The price achieved of USD 46,600.00 (€ 31,726.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elihu Vedder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Young Marsyas (Marsyas Enchanting The Hares), which sold at auction in April 2013 for USD 93,750.00 (€ 71,195.32).

Die Arbeit Near Perugia von Elihu Vedder wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 46.600,00 (€ 31.726,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden.
