This artwork by Elihu Vedder achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2014. In the American Art auction, the work Portrait Of Tito sold for USD 30,000.00 (€ 24,119.63) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elihu Vedder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Young Marsyas (Marsyas Enchanting The Hares), which sold at auction in April 2013 for USD 93,750.00 (€ 71,195.32).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Elihu Vedder erzielte im November 2014 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of Tito für USD 30.000,00 (€ 24.119,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Elihu Vedder mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Young Marsyas (Marsyas Enchanting The Hares) beobachtet, die im April 2013 für USD 93.750,00 (€ 71.195,32) versteigert wurde.
