This artwork by Elie Kanaan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in October 2014. In the Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian & Turkish Art auction, the work L'attente (The Wait) sold for USD 52,500.00 (€ 41,899.44) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Elie Kanaan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Girl in a Field sold at auction in March 2015 with the realized price of USD 68,750.00 (€ 64,007.08).

In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian & Turkish Art wurde die Arbeit L'attente (The Wait) für USD 52.500,00 (€ 41.899,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00.
