Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Elie Kanaan could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Terre Mouillée changed hands for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,867.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Elie Kanaan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Girl in a Field in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 64,007.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Elie Kanaan konnte im Oktober 2018 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Terre Mouillée für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.867,30) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elie Kanaan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Girl in a Field im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 64.007,08).
