Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Girl in a Field by Elie Kanaan was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 15,250.00 (€ 17,024.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elie Kanaan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Girl in a Field, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 68,750.00 (€ 64,007.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Girl in a Field von Elie Kanaan kam im November 2020 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 15.250,00 (€ 17.024,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Elie Kanaan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Girl in a Field beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 68.750,00 (€ 64.007,08) versteigert wurde.
