In the 21st Century Evening Sale auction, the work Prophet sold for USD 2,228,000.00 (€ 2,091,233.34) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200,000.00. This high result makes Prophet the most expensive artwork by El Anatsui that we have observed at auctions so far.
