This artwork by Eileen Quinlan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in February 2017. In the New Now auction, the work Cock Rock sold for USD 10,625.00 (€ 10,006.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Eileen Quinlan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Venus Mount, 2020 sold at auction in April 2021 with the realized price of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,390.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eileen Quinlan erzielte im Februar 2017 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Cock Rock für USD 10.625,00 (€ 10.006,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Eileen Quinlan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Venus Mount, 2020 im April 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.390,69).
