Upper estimate price exceeded by 33 %.
In February 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work After Winter by Eileen Quinlan. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,767.19), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eileen Quinlan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Venus Mount, 2020, which sold at auction in April 2021 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,390.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit After Winter von Eileen Quinlan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.767,19) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Eileen Quinlan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Venus Mount, 2020 beobachtet, die im April 2021 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.390,69) versteigert wurde.
