Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Portrait Of A Young Woman, Three-Quarter Length, Seated In A Landscape Holding A Floral Wreath by Eglon van der Neer. The price achieved of GBP 98,500.00 (€ 118,480.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eglon van der Neer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Lady Playing A Lute In An Interior in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 912,000.00 (€ 722,433.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Woman, Three-Quarter Length, Seated In A Landscape Holding A Floral Wreath von Eglon van der Neer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 98.500,00 (€ 118.480,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eglon van der Neer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Lady Playing A Lute In An Interior im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 912.000,00 (€ 722.433,46).
