Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work A woman playing the lute and a man listening by Eglon van der Neer for USD 52,920.00 (€ 49,671.48). This price was achieved in the auction Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra - Selling Without Reserve at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eglon van der Neer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Lady Playing A Lute In An Interior in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 912,000.00 (€ 722,433.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A woman playing the lute and a man listening von Eglon van der Neer für USD 52.920,00 (€ 49.671,48) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra - Selling Without Reserve bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eglon van der Neer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Lady Playing A Lute In An Interior im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 912.000,00 (€ 722.433,46).
