Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings: Part I, which included the work The Fainting Fit by Eglon van der Neer. The price achieved of USD 185,000.00 (€ 163,861.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eglon van der Neer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Lady Playing A Lute In An Interior in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 912,000.00 (€ 722,433.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings: Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Fainting Fit von Eglon van der Neer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 185.000,00 (€ 163.861,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eglon van der Neer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Lady Playing A Lute In An Interior im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 912.000,00 (€ 722.433,46).
