Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Sun Dance) by Effat Naghi was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections auction at Bonhams in London in November 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,981.82) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Effat Naghi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 45,365.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Sun Dance) von Effat Naghi wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.650,00 (€ 8.981,82) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Effat Naghi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 45.365,46).
