The work La Nubie (The Nubia) by Effat Naghi was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. It achieved a price of GBP 12,800.00 (€ 14,832.42), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Effat Naghi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 62,500.00 (€ 45,365.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit La Nubie (The Nubia) von Effat Naghi wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 12.800,00 (€ 14.832,42) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Für andere Arbeiten von Effat Naghi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2014 für USD 62.500,00 (€ 45.365,46) versteigert wurde.
