Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Hole In The Wall; And An Escape Through The Floorboards by Edwin Loder of Bath was sold in the Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs auction at Christies in London in November 2006. The price achieved of GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,692.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edwin Loder of Bath - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A chestnut hunter; and A brown hunter in a stable, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 3,407.50 (€ 5,270.63).
