Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs, which included the work Matt o' the Mint, property of the Duke of St. Albans by Edwin Loder of Bath. The price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,225.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edwin Loder of Bath have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A chestnut hunter; and A brown hunter in a stable in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,407.50 (€ 5,270.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Matt o' the Mint, property of the Duke of St. Albans von Edwin Loder of Bath zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.225,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edwin Loder of Bath auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A chestnut hunter; and A brown hunter in a stable im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.407,50 (€ 5.270,63).
