In September 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Portrait of a Girl by Edwin Howland Blashfield. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,600.00 (€ 5,202.18), 32% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin Howland Blashfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trumpets of Missouri in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 149,000.00 (€ 109,237.54).

Im September 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a Girl von Edwin Howland Blashfield zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.600,00 (€ 5.202,18) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edwin Howland Blashfield erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trumpets of Missouri im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 149.000,00 (€ 109.237,54).
