Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work The Girl In White, Portrait Of Beatrice Harrison Aged Twelve by Edwin Harris for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,807.20). This price was achieved in the auction Victorian & Edwardian Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Edwin Harris have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Under The Blossom That Hangs On The Bough in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 130,250.00 (€ 216,371.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Girl In White, Portrait Of Beatrice Harrison Aged Twelve von Edwin Harris für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.807,20) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Victorian & Edwardian Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edwin Harris auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Under The Blossom That Hangs On The Bough im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 130.250,00 (€ 216.371,16).
