Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master and 19th Century European Art, which included the work Spring by Edwin Harris. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,594.57), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin Harris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Under The Blossom That Hangs On The Bough in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 130,250.00 (€ 216,371.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spring von Edwin Harris zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.594,57) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edwin Harris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Under The Blossom That Hangs On The Bough im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 130.250,00 (€ 216.371,16).
