In August 2006 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Reclining female nude by Edward Wolfe. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 384.00 (€ 571.03), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Wolfe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Curtis Thomas in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,053.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im August 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reclining female nude von Edward Wolfe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 384,00 (€ 571,03) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Wolfe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Curtis Thomas im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.053,27).
