Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Winter Stream by Edward Willis Redfield for USD 187,500.00 (€ 169,960.12). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Edward Willis Redfield have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Road To The River in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 730,000.00 (€ 691,156.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Winter Stream von Edward Willis Redfield für USD 187.500,00 (€ 169.960,12) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Willis Redfield auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Road To The River im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 730.000,00 (€ 691.156,98).
