Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Early Spring by Edward Willis Redfield. The »bidding war« ended at USD 360,500.00 (€ 330,885.73), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Willis Redfield - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Road To The River, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 730,000.00 (€ 691,156.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Early Spring von Edward Willis Redfield zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 360.500,00 (€ 330.885,73) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Edward Willis Redfield mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Road To The River beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 730.000,00 (€ 691.156,98) versteigert wurde.
