The work ‘Thou hast the sunset’s glow, Rome, for thy dower, Flushing the cypress tree, Temple and tower’ by Edward William Cooke was auctioned at Christies in London in May last year. It achieved a price of GBP 16,380.00 (€ 19,269.51), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 37%.
