Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Edward Wadsworth achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2017. In the Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale auction, the work Flower Piece: Rose sold for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 37,011.44) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Wadsworth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Imaginary Harbour I in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 197,000.00 (€ 232,440.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edward Wadsworth erzielte im Juni 2017 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Flower Piece: Rose für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 37.011,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Wadsworth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Imaginary Harbour I im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 197.000,00 (€ 232.440,63).
