Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2010 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work The Angel of the Sea by Edward Reginald Frampton. The price achieved of GBP 67,250.00 (€ 81,782.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Reginald Frampton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Our Lady of Promise (La Madonna di Promessa), which sold at auction in December 2016 for GBP 173,000.00 (€ 202,265.07).

Im Juni 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Angel of the Sea von Edward Reginald Frampton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 67.250,00 (€ 81.782,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Edward Reginald Frampton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Our Lady of Promise (La Madonna di Promessa) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2016 für GBP 173.000,00 (€ 202.265,07) versteigert wurde.
