Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2016 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art, which included the work Elaine, the Lady of Shallott by Edward Reginald Frampton. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 44,558.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Reginald Frampton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Our Lady of Promise (La Madonna di Promessa) in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 173,000.00 (€ 202,265.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Elaine, the Lady of Shallott von Edward Reginald Frampton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 44.558,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Reginald Frampton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Our Lady of Promise (La Madonna di Promessa) im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 173.000,00 (€ 202.265,07).
