A top price for Edward Reginald Frampton - as previously expected
The work Our Lady of Promise (La Madonna di Promessa) by Edward Reginald Frampton was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in December 2016. The price achieved of GBP 173,000.00 (€ 202,265.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Our Lady of Promise (La Madonna di Promessa) is the most expensive artwork by Edward Reginald Frampton that we have observed at auctions so far.
