Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Living with Art, which included the work Morning on Staten Island Shore by Edward Moran. The price achieved of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,543.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Moran achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Commerce of Nations Rendering Homage to Liberty in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,327,500.00 (€ 1,254,963.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Living with Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Morning on Staten Island Shore von Edward Moran zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.543,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Moran erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Commerce of Nations Rendering Homage to Liberty im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.327.500,00 (€ 1.254.963,13).
